Trek above 8888ft sea level (Chopta , Tungnath)

Located on the Tungnath mountain, the Tungnath Temple, which is at an altitude of 3460 meters, is located at the highest point in the penthouse. This temple is believed to be 1,000 years old and here it is worshiped as one of Lord Shiva's PanchKedars. It is believed that this temple was built by Pandavas to please Lord Shiva, who was angry with the Pandavas due to the massacre in Kurukshetra. Tungnath is the source of the top three streams, from which Akshakamani river forms. The temple is located 3 kilometers away from Chopta.
